What if we had this for library books?Zappos.com has a great tool that shows in real time when people are buying shoes online, where they are when they buy them, and shows an image of the shoe they are buying: http://www.zappos.com/map/ I immediately thought that it would be really amazing if libraries had this very thing, except to protect user privacy, without the map. What if there was a real time scroll we could implement to show on our website what books are being checked out, in real time? Yes, it sounds like a lot of work. But it would be so, so, so cool if we could make it happen. Imagine a ticker tape type display in a popular downtown coffee shop!?
