Google Docs Forms

A colleague alerted me to the new Google Docs forms and I tested it out. It was really fast, you can embed the survey into web sites, get the responses instantly fitted into a spreadsheet. I sent out a test submission and watched the replies appear magically into the spreadsheet. I can then share the info turning them into pie charts and graphs that look way cool.

Yet another colleague pointed out that there is no web authentication which means you can fill it out as many times as you want to from your computer, so be on the lookout! Still very useful, I think! Let me know your opinion! See below. This took me two minutes to create!

"Que és un wiki?"

I imagine that this would be helpful to anyone in a library setting with a number of Spanish speakers. I found this in youtube when I was searching on wikis. Please pass it on to anyone that might find it useful and share it with colleagues! I know we all get these kinds of questions on the reference desk!

12 New Rules of Working You Should Embrace Today

Thanks to twitter friends @tacanderson and @LGM1 I learned about this great blog post - the 12 new rules of working you should embrace today. A lot of my friends are techie types so they generally embrace new technologies and ideas too.

I love this post because it clearly shows how technology has changed our culture. I want everyone I know to read this because it will make all of our lives better. Scroll down past the companies that embrace these rules and see these rules including "Communication is a stream" where the author mentions that you need to bathe in the communication and then get out.

This is a must read! http://zenhabits.net/2008/08/12-new-rules-of-working-you-should-embrace-today/
