I’ve been thinking about some of the ways to showcase my work. I have a Selected Works account, which showcases my academic pursuits including articles, presentations, etc. But some of my less tangible work, like social capital in my social media networks, is harder to quantify or even qualify. 

I found About.me from a colleague, and I quickly applied for an account. I’ve added links to some of the major social media networks that I use: http://about.me/amyvecchione

That way, there is no doubt which Amy Vecchione people are looking for, too. They know who I am, can see my face, and can quickly find the information that they need to find about me! I think it’s a great way to make yourself look more transparent, and also exposes your awesome research at the same time.
